Paige Madden: Performer & Educator

Originally from Eugene, Oregon, Paige received her bachelor’s degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Oregon, where she was also the first female Center Snare in the Oregon Marching Band's history. She then moved to Florida, where she earned her master’s degree, also in Percussion Performance, from the University of Central Florida. During her masters, she taught and arranged for the UCF drumline, and was a parade drummer at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.

After graduating, she stayed in Orlando, continuing to teach the UCF drumline and perform locally, until returning to school for her terminal degree. Paige is currently ABD and in her final semester of her doctorate degree in Percussion Performance at the University of Michigan, where she has been diving deeper into a wide variety of concert percussion, chamber music, and non-western percussion. She is also a founding member of the Terracotta Duo, an innovative percussion and double bass duo that thrives on commissioning new works and arranging music for their unique instrumentation. Paige has performed internationally in Trinidad in the 2025 Panorama Large Band Finals with the Shell Invaders Steel Orchestra, as well as in Berlin, Germany.

Paige currently serves as an adjunct percussion professor at Eastern Michigan University and Saginaw Valley State University.
